The Stretch Station To Open In The Stamford Quarter
Altrincham’s The Stretch Station is set to open a brand new Longevity and Recovery Studio in the Stamford Quarter in Autumn 2026.
Altrincham BID is excited to announce the return of Netwalking for 2025, a series of networking walks sponsored by Bruntwood. Running monthly from April to October, these events offer a perfect mix of networking, fresh air, and exploring the town’s nearby green spaces – all while stepping away from the desk for a wellbeing boost.
The first Netwalking event is on Tuesday 8th April with an insightful update on the HYVERT living wall at Foundation. Installed over a year ago, this innovative green wall has been transforming local air quality and biodiversity. Experts from local business, I Want Plants, will share the latest insights, including how the wall is creating a thriving habitat for wildlife.
After the update, there will be a short, guided walk before heading back to Nell’s for a complimentary slice of its legendary pizza – the perfect way to round off the lunchtime break!
Why Join Netwalking?
Research shows that taking a break from your desk for a walk at lunchtime can do wonders for mental health, energy levels, and afternoon productivity. Netwalking is a great way to connect with fellow business professionals in a relaxed setting, while also enjoying some fresh air and discovering more about Altrincham.
What’s Next?
Netwalking will continue monthly throughout the summer and early autumn, with each event featuring a different theme or guest speaker. Whether it’s exploring local sustainability projects, green spaces, or Altrincham’s latest business developments, every session will bring something new.
Mandy White, Altrincham BID Director, explained, “We’re so pleased to bring Netwalking back for another year! It’s a brilliant way for local professionals to connect, get inspired, and enjoy the benefits of walking during the working day. Kicking off with the HYVERT living wall update makes for a really exciting start.”
Bruntwood’s Head of Marketing, Nikki Phillips, added "We're proud to support Netwalking once again, providing local professionals with a valuable opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and step away from their screens. Wellbeing and collaboration are at the heart of what we do, and we’re delighted to sponsor this initiative for a third year."
