In October 2019, a joint venture between Trafford Borough Council and Bruntwood Works was formed, with the Stamford Quarter and Clarendon House on Stamford New Road part of the initial acquisition.
The 367,000 sq ft site, as it is currently known, acts as a retail destination and high street, with a mixture of big name and independent operators providing a number of retail, hospitality and leisure services to the local community.
We know the more diverse, culturally rich, connected, sustainable and fulfilled our communities are, the greater our towns and cities will become. Which is why it’s our aim to create an environment to help businesses thrive and work becomes a lifestyle; where workspace, residential, retail, wellness and leisure facilities interface to create a community.
To do this, we will regenerate the town centre by creating a mixed use destination in the Stamford Quarter, which compliments Altrincham’s current offering.
