Festive Family Fun at the Stamford Quarter

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at the Stamford Quarter, where Christmas is set to be celebrated with jam packed days of family festive fun on 15th and 16th December. From games and competitions with Alty FC and crafty workshops with Inch Arts to a drink pop up and live entertainment, expect a fun and FREE festive time.

Festive Family Fun at the Stamford Quarter

Broomwood Primary School will be kicking off Christmas celebrations in the Stamford Quarter on Friday 15th December. The local school’s choir will be performing everyone’s favourite Christmas songs from 12:30PM until 2.30PM on George Street.

On Saturday 16th December, FREE Christmas crafts workshops with Inch Arts will take place along George Street. Running from 10:30AM - 2.00PM, families can book on to three separate workshops: a santa mask making session, festive hat creation activity and a Christmas craft session. Spaces are limited, so those wanting to join in on the Christmas merriment should book via the Eventbrite link HERE.

Vanoffee will be popping up on the day selling teas, coffees, hot chocolates, and sweet treats.

Also joining the Christmas cheer on 16th December is official Stamford Quarter partner, Altrincham Football Club. Altrincham FC Community Sports will be hosting a series of fun activities and competitions with the help of their mascot Rocky Robin; there’ll also be special prizes to be won for the whole family. Altrincham FC team members will be on site from 10:30AM - 12:30PM and the newly opened Alty FC shop on George Street will also be open for official club merchandise, match tickets and hospitality packages.

Di Voci Women's Choir will also be performing a selection of Festive songs from 2.00pm - 3.00pm.

The public realm in the Stamford Quarter in Altrincham will be undergoing a transformation in 2024. The enhancements are designed to improve accessibility, provide space for community activity and encourage visitors to spend time in a more welcoming environment in the Stamford Quarter.
